'Cause some days, it's all worth it ...

It is always an immense pleasure to serve you here at the Hothouse. But some days, it's even better. Those are the days, such as today, when I get to be surrounded by not only good people, but good music as well. I'm so happy to say that three, count 'em three, of Kirk's Top Ten Hothouse bands are gracing the studio almost simultaneously. The good music flows through the halls, and the good life flows through my soul. Thank you.

Someone name this band!
This unnamed group, fronted by Hothouse friend "Lil'" Manny (guitar/vocals), is looking for an identity. Jimmy (bass), suggested "Mediocre." Eh, ... In my humble opinion, I believe a band's name should reflect its music, soul, and mentality, and knowing only about the band's music, I offer you this: Unnamed plays a very accessible form of melodic-acidy-rock; ephemeral and pleading, but still hard. Their form is tight and they need to get out there, but not without a name. Please submit all suggestions to this blog. Thank you.

Confess with this band
Today the studio welcomed a new band through her door, "Avow," a guitar/piano pop-rock quartet with massive marketability. Radio-friendly and friendly in person too, the band are searching for a new studio to call home after their previous haunt had to shut down. Here's hoping the Hothouse is likeable enough.
