“A Night of Music and Love”

I am so grateful to my friend Tateng Katindig. Besides being an awesome keyboardist and musical director he is such a fine person.
Thank you Tateng for all the great music and smiles you bring to the Hothouse.

When Tateng (keys), Ner (sax), Myke (guitar), George (percussion), Yoyong (keys), Dominic (bass), and Abe (drum) show up to rehearse, you can be assured the vocal talent that works with them will make you skin goose bump up. It’s that good.

Well the rehearsals over these last three days have just blown me away, even for Tetang. This time he brought with him world class vocalists. Ella May Saison the Philippines superstar was in the studio.

But that was just the beginning. Ella May is one of 12 Filipino talents who performed Saturday night (11.08.08) at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles in a show titled “A Night of Music and Love”.

Aside from Ella May, Tirso Cruz III, Jessa Zaragoza, Dingdong Avanzado, Leandro Munoz, Patricia Javier, Michael Laygo, Ladine Roxas, Mon David, Louie Reyes, Anthony Castelo, and Marco Sison are singing in the show. Famous composer Vehnee Saturno is the stage director, with Tateng as the shows musical director.

In fact, Aragon Entertainment Productions (USA), owned by producer Rogel Aragon is touring “A Night of Music and Love” in the US, with the performance on Saturday serving as a grand preview of what to expect from the show. It was a pleasure meeting John Salas VP of Sales and Marketing at Aragon Entertainment. It’s always great to meet people with integrity in this business.

Some times I just pinch myself. I’m so pleased with phase one of the “auditorium” remodel, our mini sound stage here at Hothouse Rehearsal Studios. When I look into the auditorium and see a sound stage full of; 7 professional musicians and 13 world class vocalists, the room bursting with music, all comfortable and pleased with the sound they are hearing, I know then our facility is unrivaled in quality and value.
