Mind-blowing Rehearsal
Hothouse Studios has hosted some remarkable rehearsal sessions with the likes of Dramarama, Oingo Boingo, Willy G and thee Midnighters, Ian Mitchell (Bay City Rollers), Leif Garrett, David Pomeranz, Jasmine Trias, Jimmy Hall (Wet Willy), the Rat Pack stage show… gracing our studio, but
Last night Hothouse Studios hosted a truly amazing rehearsal session. I lost count but at least a dozen young vocalist and their parents as the audience, rehearsed in the auditorium for their upcoming performances. One thing to understand is; these singers were grade, middle school and maybe high school aged children. The power and confidence they performed with, was uncanny. They sang with freedom and from their souls. These are usually the traits of a seasoned veteran. These kids blew my mind with their talents and to watch and hear them perform was like attending a concert in our own studio.
Being a parent of young children, I can appreciate all the efforts and support their parents have put into their young prodigies and it was fun to see all the parents clapping and cheering on, all the kids, as each child got up to perform their song for them.
These parents wanted the best backing band they could find for their children, so who else would they choose, none other than our dear friend keyboardist Tateng Katindig and his crew of talented musicians. Myke on guitar, Edwin on the bass, and Dave on drums.
What a joy to witness such an incredible event.
